A short 7 nautical miles via the magnificent waterway of Sydney Harbour is the original and still best way to travel to Manly Wharf. Since 1855 ferries have been servicing this spectacular 30 minute route between Circular Quay and Manly, enticing travellers with fabulous views of Sydney Harbour and surrounds.
The best way to explore the Northern Beaches via public transport is to jump on a bus from Manly Wharf and enjoy the short trip to one of our many seaside destinations.

Since 1855, Sydney Ferries’ famous Manly Ferry is a “must do” for visitors and makes the 30 minute trip regularly, day and night. Manly Ferry timetables and information about fares, passes and attractions are available from the Sydney Ferries website.

Wharf and Pier 2 are high speed ferry services operated by Sydney Fast Ferries and Manly Fast Ferries. Sydney Fast Ferries operates between Manly and Circular Quay from Monday through to Friday in the Morning and returning to service in the afternoon. The journey takes approximately 15 – 30 minutes. Manly Fast Ferry offer an hourly service through the day, to Manly, Monday to Friday, along with extra services on the weekend.
